Alfredo Garay. 1995.| I would like to emphasize their search for coherence, the depth of their glance. I am interested in the serenity of their work and the obtained result.
I have seen them participate in all debates, and draw conclusions rigorously noted down so as to compose a set of ideas. A list willingly incomplete, which is gone over and enlarged on the drawing board.
To understand the city they walked the barrio and learned the lesson which unveiled the secret of all places, the result is neither folk nor nostalgia; each space is dismantled and reconstructed with new meanings.
They work intensely, always in pleasant surroundings, impregnated with the pleasure of their task, like the craftman’s workshop.
Through this material we have the opportunity to reconstruct the process. Buildings, projects, sketches. What was built and what was discarded. The parts of a major opera where the result is the process.
I have recognized in the street the work of Hampton and Rivoira. it was and was not my city. A tango by Piazzola, a story by Cortázar. References of a generation which let itself be charmed by Buenos Aires.
